Artist's Description

There are more than 300 species of woodpeckers worldwide. These birds love to peck wood for a variety of reasons: build a nest, search for insects, get sap, or make a hole to store food. This bird that inspired Walter Lantz created the cartoon character Woody Woodpecker.

Despite liking to peck a tree with its beak, the woodpecker never suffered a brain injury. What's the secret?

About Jason Sentuf

Jason Sentuf

My name is Jason Sentuf. I am a Pastor of a Church in Indonesia, but painting is also my hobby. Thank God that he has given me such a talent since I was Child. I Never follow a formal Art Education or any painting course - because painting is my natural hobby. I am more inclined to paint landscapes, animals, and human bodies since primary school. I was influencing European Expressionism and Impressionism painting styles. I like Claude Monet's and Vincent Van Gogh's painting styles. Whether by visiting museums or reading their history books, both greatest painters have increased my knowledge of how to paint professionally and add techniques and the ability to find all beauties around me and express this beauty on canvas or paper. After...
