It's scientific name is Gerygone sulphurea and live in open country, second growth, mangroves and urban areas. Common, prefers the crown of trees. Uniform olive brown above and pale yellow below with white lores. Conspicuous by its loud ventriloquial song of alternating slurred notes.
This very active bird is just four inches long, but its song is so loud that it is hard to believe this is coming from such a tiny creature. It is easier heard than seen in trees in a wide range of habitat, including residential areas. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
In Bali, it is confined to the coast, frequenting the tall casuarinas bordering beach gardens, with a strong preference for mangrove. The best place to see and hear this tiny bird is at the southern end of Sanur Beach. If you stand very still in the shade at edge of mangrove, it will come and pose for you.
