Description
If you visit Israel somedays, your visitation would be not completed if you have not visited Bahai Gardens. This beautiful park is situated on Mount Carmel, which is 400 meters above sea level and one of the most popular sites in the Middle East. Bahaullah founded Bahai, who is also the founder of the Baha'i religion in the early 19th century. Originally, Bahai was a unique hanging garden design, which is a combination of regular geometric forms in such a beautifully maintenance of the natural and historic landscape features. There are two Bahai's Gardens in Haifa. The other one is located 16 kilometers further north, in Akko. Each year the park is visited by more than 500 thousand visitors from all over the world. In July 2008, the Bahai Gardens in Haifa and Akko were inscribed on the UNESCO world heritage list. It is in recognition of outstanding universal value as a sacred place and the place of Bahai pilgrimage believers.
This picture was captured by me on Feb 26, 2014, during our ten days visitation to Israel. I have been three-time to Israel and this is one of my favorite places to visit.
